My Lil' AssKicker
It's Our Shit Now
CARL'S POV
I leaned up against the wall behind Daryl as I listened to a crazy man laugh. I didn't know where Beth was, but I prayed that she wasn't in there!
"We break in on three." Daryl ordered.
"I'll open the door." I planned. "You hold up your crossbow and I'll be right behind you."
"Juss don't git in my way." He said, standing up in front of the door.
I jiggled the doorknob, and it opened quickly. Daryl jogged into the room, and everyone began yelling.
"Put the crossbow down, man!"
"Somebody shoot 'em!"
I hesitantly decided this was my que to barge in. I stood up and jumped into the doorway.
The room consisted of an old couch, a dinosaur of a TV, and a coffee table in between. Three unfamiliar men sat on the couch, guns out. Another man was holding a gun to Beth's head.
"Put it down!" He was demanding.
Daryl and I put our weapons down. Beth nodded, a bit relieved.
"What do you want from us?" I asked as one of the three men on the couch grabbed my gun and held it to my head.
"Do you have a group?" Inquired the man with a gun to Beth's head.
Beth shook her head. "Just us. There used to be others."
"What happened to them?" Asked another man who was taking Daryl's crossbow.
"Same thing that happens to everyone else." Beth said solemnly.
"Well, I see your truck out there is pretty loaded with supplies. We have a group to take care of as well, you see. So we'll just take your supplies, and we might consider letting you go."
Daryl looked like he was going to explode. "That's our shit!"
The man with the gun to Beth's head winked. "It's our shit now."
To be continued..... tomorrow ;)
