Time Passing Part One

Since my talk with the Governor, I had learned to be a good girl and run within the inside of the walls, but each time he would leave with Martinez and Merle and whoever else, I would too. Being a good girl didn't set well with me.

"Macy! Me and James are leaving today, Luke will be here alright?" I heard Marcus and walked into the living room, smiling. Looks like I was going out again today. "Alright, why is Luke staying?" I asked, genuinely curious. Marcus didn't even look my way, grabbing his gun and heading towards the door.
"Governor doesn't need that many people. We'll be back in about two hours." He called, shutting the door behind him. Luke came out of nowhere and I quickly went for the door before he could even protest against it.

The sun filled my pores as I walked down the open highway. Today I was going to do things differently, I was going to go into the woods. The more challenge, the more practice. The trees cooled the air and I could hear the leaves and twigs crunching beneath my feet. It almost reminded me the time when me and my father would hunt. But I couldn't think about him or the past, it would only sting worse. It's funny, the disease of the dead had taken over my father, but shooting him in the head still felt like murder. He was the first biter I had ever killed.

In the distance I could hear the moaning. I slowed my pace, stepping behind a tree and peeking to see what I was up against. Six walkers. I swallowed the lump in my throat. "Cutting it a little close don't you think?" I jumped ten feet high at the sound of Luke's voice. "Holy fucking shit!" I whispered harshly. This bastard had followed me. "Really? Following me?" I asked again while he tried not to laugh.

"This is dangerous. But I get it, just let me help this time? six is too much." He protested. I nodded, leaping to the next tree and leaving him behind. I made a slight kissing noice and they started my way. I laughed and showed myself, stabbing the first one and then kicking the other back. Luke hopped out of nowhere and killed another. I stopped on the one biter's head I had kicked down and then turned to see Luke in the midst of the other three. "Hey! Hey!" I tried to call out but they were too focused. Luke ran backwards and tripped, falling down while the others fell ontop of him. I went into a rage and kicked the others back, stabbing the one on him. and then finishing the other two before I even looked at him.

"M-Macy.." My brother's shoulder had been ripped apart in jagged pieces. It was like my whole world stopped, and I didn't know what to do. My mind was blank and full of pain. I fell to my knees beside him and let the tears fall from my eyes. "Nooo! Oh god." I cried out. I had no words. He didn't say anything else, because the light fell from his eyes and he passed right there.

Come on Macy, toughen up. Leave. Fucking Leave. That voice of survival kept telling me what to do in my head, but I couldn't do what it asked. I couldn't move.

Minutes had passed, and I knew it wouldn't be long before he turned on me. But I couldn't bring myself to even stand up. I just sat there and cried until his body started to move. And for a faint second I had some hope that he made a miraculous recovery, but he didn't. He had turned into one of them. I cried out and rage filled inside of me, "No!" I screamed and stabbed him.

Blood was everywhere, on my hands, clothes, the ground I kneeled on. I wasn't thinking, I was just doing. I got up and walked all the way back towards Woodbury. My brother's blood on my hands.
"Honey! I'm home!"
I heard James' voice but I could bring myself to move. I could see his eyes widen at the sight of me and then come to my aid on the couch, but I still couldn't move. I couldn't speak. "What happened?!" And then came Marcus, his eyes full of concern. "Macy... Where's Luke." I shook my head at Mark's question. "In the woods."

Marcus grabbed my face, and that little bit of contact broke the wall I had built up, and I had a melt down. "He's dead! He's dead! Oh god! I killed my brother!" I sobbed and sobbed into marcus' shirt, feeling hands rub my back and my hair. How could I have been so stupid? Luke's death was on my hands now. "It's not your fault. It's alright just calm down." I heard James say in a soothing voice.

Everything felt numb, everything felt painful. I had no idead how we could all get passed this.

Yes, This next chapter will be from both sides, which i'm writing now. I just hope I can pull it off! I want to portray him in the right way. But thank you!!(:

Even if we already know what happens, I'm glad to see what happens next. Are you gonna do a chapter from Daryl's POV? I'd like to see what he is thinking. Great job!

@Death_to_Roses I wanted to stop so that it'd have more suspense. Yeah you guys all know what happens to Daryl and Merle, but not Macy (; The next chapter will be up probably tomorrow night. Maybe even tonight because I am already writing it now.

Why stop it there? It really makes no sense since we all know this happens so the shock factor isn't really all that effective. :/ I just want mooore.
