Worms, Windows and Roses
Irony is abundant in a world where death reigns. A prison becomes a sanctuary, guns take the place of best friends, and trusting others is almost as dangerous as the empty creatures that walk the earth. Rick suffers the most ironic of fates, however, as a new life extinguishes an old one. After losing his wife in child birth, he says no more. No more mouths to feed, no more people to worry about, no more lives to lose, but Daryl was never one to listen. After he stumbles upon two lost girls in the woods, he decides against Rick's wishes to take them into the prison. They don't have much time to argue about it however, because they soon find they have even bigger things to worry about and having two able bodies might just come in handy.
