When two worlds collide

"When everything falls apart".

The day Taylor got the phone call she was pissed, upset, life wasn't fair, life was never fair....

Taylor woke to the smell of liquor and cigarets. Her eyes fluttered open, she say up and took a long look around the room. There was empty beer bottles and beer cans everywhere, the kitchen was a disaster, clothes were speed out in the living room, kitchen and hall. This is what she would wake up to every morning.

*two days earlier*

"Good morning mother" Taylor walked into the kitchen were her mom was cooking breakfast. Taylor was always in a good mood in the morning.
"Hey, good morning to you, how was your date with Logan?" Her mom always asked her about her relationships, dates, she liked to know everything, Taylor didn't mind telling her, she was easy to talk to, she was a great parent.
"It went really well actually, he took me out to the dock and we had a moonlight picnic" She smiled playfully.
"Romantic..." Her mom smiled, handing her a plate of eggs and cucumbers. Her mom was all about eating healthy.
"Delish" She said sitting across from her mom.
"ok so since your 16 I wanted to talk to you about something,"
She paused to make sure she was listening.
"Listning," Taylor said, taking a bite of food.
"About your dad".
Taylor almost choked on her food.
"w-what" she managed to say.
" Ok his name is Daryl Dixon,"
Dixon? Now she finally understood why her last name was Lilly-Dixon.
"Oh sweetie I loved him, I did, but once I got pregnant with you, he cheated on me, I never got the chance to tell him about you. I'm sorry I took that away from you, you don't have a father, I really am sorry". Lilly's eyes welled up with tears.
"Don't be sorry, I have everything I need right here" Taylor gave her a warm smile. "Hey, I love you mom"
"I love yo to sweetie, but I really have to go, I'll be home soon". Lilly hugged her daughter, tightly.
After her mom had left taylor cleared off the table and did dishes.
Two hours past, four, then eight, Taylor was starting to worrie but she told her self there was nothing to worrie about, she let it roll off her shoulders.
It was half past eight when Taylor got a phone call.
"Hello this is officer Dawn Learner, is this Jane Lilly-Dixon?"
Taylor didn't say anything for a moment, why was the police calling?
"Speaking". She said after a moment.
"I'm very sorry to tell you, Evangeline Lilly, your mother, she got into a car accident.... She didn't make it, I am very sorry. Thank you for you time"
The line went silent.
Taylor say on the couch for a very long time, staring out the window, knowing she would never see her mother again.

*Present Day*

Taylor sighed, maybe this was her life now, but that dosent mean she can't change it. She stood up, grabbed a box that was sitting by the door and started to pick up all the clothes, after she set the box down in the laundry room. Next she went to the kitchen to grab a trash bag, picking up the beer cans/bottles and cigaret buds. She tied the bag shut and threw it on the porch. "Just a little more, you got this" she told herself. Next came the kitchen And Taylor, oh how she loved to do dishes. When she walked into the kitchen she didn't take notice to how messy it was earlier. The dishes were stacked as high as a mountain, it it looked as if they weren't washed in days. A look of disgust came over her face, but she dove right in, no bitching and complaining.
It took her almost an hour to finish, the problem was she didn't know where anything went. She took a step back looking at what she's jut accomplished, the kitchen/livingroom area was... Semi clean.

Taylor was tired of having to sleep on the couch, I mean she's only been here two days but still. There are three rooms in this house, the master bedroom, Merle's room, and the guest bedroom, the guest bedroom was small but it will have to do. Once Taylor grabbed her bags she walked down to the first room on the left, The first thing she saw was a bed at the end of it was a neatly folded blanked and two pillows, to her right was a dresser. She threw her bags on the bed and started to unpack. She hung up her shirts in the closet, pants and other clothing went into the dresser. She put her makeup in the two cabinets that are in the bathroom. At the bottom of her bag was a picture of her, her mom and Logan, she remembered that day, that was the day that her mom took her and Logan to that really fancey coffee shop. The memories came flooding back, which brought tears to her eyes. She set the picture down on the nightstand beside her bed.

Eventually Taylor heard the frond door open, she's been wanting to talk to her dad all day. When she walked out the the living room she go quite a surprise, standing in front of her was a little blond woman and her dad, making out... Righ in front of her.
"No,no,no,no"
Taylor ran her fingers through her hair.
They stopped kissing, they looked shocked to see her.
"Daryl, baby, who's this" the woman asked, putting her hand up to Daryl's chest.
"She's my daughter" he said quietly.
"Oh hi sweetie, well aren't you cute" the woman ruffled her hair."Well I'll tell you what, why don't you go get some ice cream, or whatever so me and your daddy could be alone" this woman was talking to her like she was five, she handed her a ten dollar bill.
"come on Beth, les' jus' go to my room" Daryl drawled out.
*beth that was her name*
They made it half way don't the hall and Taylor grabbed her purse/bag and slipped her shoes on.
"you've got to be freaking kidding me, Jackass, wow parent of the year award right now." She shouted, she didn't want to deal with bullshit right now. She walked out the door, slamming it behind her. She has no idea where she was going.
"The hell you say?" Daryl jogged half way don't the drive way to catch up with her.
She just kept walking, ignoring him didn't help any, he was pissed.
" Hey!" He grabbed her arm, forceing her to look at him.
"Don't" Taylor glared at him. She didn't like to yell, she tried to break from his grasp.
" Look a girl you age shouldn't be walking around by herself, especially in this neighborhood".
"You don't know anything, your not a parent, your never going to be a parent, just some looser who knocked up my mom"
Taylor started to cry, Daryl let go of her arm.
"And were would you go? This is your home now" Daryl shrugged.
"this is not my home, it will never be my home.... You should go, your slut needs you"
"You are just like your mom, go then let's see how far you get" Taylor turned and walked away.
Daryl was never good with kids especially teenage girls.
For a second just a second Daryl got an image of Lilly saying the exact same thing, sixteen years ago, and that's when he knew that parenting is going to be a hole lot harder then he thought it was going to be.
