Summary
With the aid of a nearby monastery, the Alexandrians have finally defeated the Saviors, and life is becoming settled. But when Daryl and Carol go on a supply run, they encounter obstacles that challenge their spirits and threaten their lives. With the help of a peculiar and perceptive monk, they also begin to examine their feelings for one another.

Brother Lawrence
An ally of the Alexandrians in the War against the Saviors and Daryl's new housemate, Brother Lawrence is a gregarious monk who is skilled in the use of longbows. Though initially a constant annoyance to Daryl, they eventually develop a friendship. Brother Lawrence forces Daryl to examine his feelings for Carol.
Carl Grimes
Daryl isn't exactly an ideal candidate for the role of Village Matchmaker, but young Carl Grimes is going to need a little help getting over his obsession with Enid.
Carol Peletier
Having rejoined her people just in time for the War against the Saviors, and now settled in Alexandria, Carol is struggling to establish a normal life and to heal from past horrors.
Daryl Dixon
A constantly evolving character, Daryl is struggling to find his place in the growing community and to come to grips with his feelings for Carol, even while fighting walkers and human enemies alike.

A friend to Daryl, Michonne shows a lighter side of herself while still struggling with past losses.
Nadia
An exotically beautiful woman and skilled surgeon in her late thirties, Nadia was a member of the monastery camp before be abducted by the Saviors. She has since found refuge in Alexandria.

Daryl's best friend, Rick has assumed the role of leader of the Alexandrian Council.
